PM Modi to attend G-20 summit in Japan from June 27-29, says MEA

Previous Union Minister Suresh Prabhu would be India's Sherpa at the meet.

Head administrator Narendra Modi will go to the G-20 summit in Osaka in Japan from June 27 to 29, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Friday.

MEA representative Raveesh Kumar reported that previous Union clergyman Suresh Prabhu would be India's Sherpa at the meet.

"This would be the 6th time that Prime Minister Modi would take part in the summit. He would hold two-sided (discourses) and take part in plurilateral gatherings which would be declared nearer to the date," Mr. Kumar said.

G-20 individuals are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the UK and the US.

All in all, the G-20 economies record for about 90 percent of the gross world item, 80 percent of world exchange, 66% of the total populace, and roughly 50% of the world land region.
